will 뒤에 recognize가 생략된건가요? 아니면 neither에 not recognize가 포함된건가요?

이 문장에서 as have millions of parents before me 이부분을 어떻게 이해해야하나요?
해설지에는 나에 앞서서 부모가 된 수많은 사람들이 그런것 처럼 이라고 되어있는데 이해가 안 돼요

crises 뒤의 it은 modern civilization 인가요? 그리고 it has 와 had to deal with이 동시에 crises를 꾸미고 있는건가요?

여기서 one이 someone의 의미인가요?
